The problem
A lakeside plot at 44°C in May, and a client who wanted the air conditioning to be optional for eight months of the year.
Our approach
Thick lime walls, deep chajjas, a stepped water body on the prevailing wind side and courtyards that stack cool air overnight. Measured internal temperatures run 9°C below ambient at peak.
